This extremely extraordinary dining table made from a tree trunk with live edge in the format 250 x 120 cm is a masterpiece from our production. Various tree slices were used, cut from a tree trunk (root area) of the teak tree. The individual tree slices were joined together by hand, and the natural live edge was preserved on the inside and outside. The space between the inner live edges was artistically decorated with a glass plate. The tabletop stands on a table base in the shape of a crescent moon, which was also handcrafted for the extraordinary live edge tabletop.

Dining tables with live edge from „GERKEN Wohndesign“

A dining table with live edge does not necessarily have to consist of a single, closed tree slice. In the series Expression, we decided to use leftover wood. Leftover wood consists of old tree roots that are removed from the ground in reforestation areas on the islands of Java and Bali to make way for new forestation. When cutting the tree trunks from the root area, incredibly interesting structures and shapes emerge, which represent very abstract possibilities due to the grain of the root and the wild live edge. Only one man in the operation of one of our suppliers is capable of connecting the individual tree slices in his imagination and creating a tabletop with live edge from them. For this reason, we can only offer such beautiful dining tables in individual cases,... unfortunately, we cannot accept special orders for Dining tables with live edge the series „Expression“.
