Even if this dining table made of oak in the size of 300 x 100 cm appears simple at first glance, it is something very special. Oak is present in our culture almost daily. It often adorns the coats of arms of cities and municipalities,… or let’s think back to the time of the Deutsche Mark,… back then it was the rubble woman on the 50-pfennig coin who planted an oak.
The dining table made of oak presented in this blog post consists of 4 cm solid oak planks, securely glued, finely sanded, and was sealed transparently with a neutral hard wax oil from the brand OSMO The table frame in cross shape is made of raw steel in industrial design and was, like the tabletop for this dining table, oak also handcrafted.

The dining table presented today is made of solid oak planks with a thickness of 4 cm, which were painstakingly glued together. The surface of the tabletop was finely sanded and finally sealed with a high-quality hard wax oil from the brand OSMO sealed transparently. Hard wax oil has an improved property to highlight the structure of the oak.
The table frame is made of raw steel in the shape of a cross. The welded blank was only painted with clear lacquer to emphasize the striking industrial design.
