The oval dining table Arezzo, an affordable alternative from the house of GERKEN Wohndesign

With the dining table Arezzo, we have been offering a dining table for the middle budget since spring 2021. The thickness of the oval tabletop is, unlike many of our other tables, „only“ 6–7 cm for the Arezzo. The oval shape of the tabletop provides space for up to eight people, while at the ends of the table, one or two more guests can also sit. The dining table Arezzo stands on a cross-shaped frame made of raw steel, which, like every other component of this table, was handcrafted.

Recycled teak wood, dining tables from GERKEN Wohndesign

By using recycled teak wood for our dining tables, we protect our nature in two ways.
No tree needs to be cut down from one side for our dining tables. Even though teak wood is almost exclusively grown on plantations today, it is still a tree that stores CO₂ and produces oxygen.
Generally, we have almost unlimited opportunities to purchase recycled teak wood for the production of our dining tables and coffee tables. Recycled wood finds no use in industrial furniture production and thus becomes a waste product, which is usually only processed into firewood and charcoal. When burning or carbonizing teak wood, up to 1000 kg of CO₂ is released per cubic meter of wood.
We protect our forests and we protect the climate.
