Gerken Living Design,…. that stands for handmade coffee tables made of solid wood with a focus on a clear design language, high-quality materials, and sustainable processing. Each Coffee table is made from recycled teak wood sourced from old buildings and bridges and has an age of 70 to 100 years. The handcrafted tables combine traditional craftsmanship with a timeless design and are available in various shapes.
Each individual piece of wood is inspected on-site by the authorities before processing, and compliance with the guidelines of the applicable Timber Trade Regulation is checked here in Germany by the Federal Office for Agriculture and Food before the tables are released for sale by customs.

Handmade coffee tables with extremely solid tabletops

The tabletops of the solid coffee tables have a thickness of 6 to 8 cm and are made from sustainable, recycled Solid wood. Some models are equipped with handcrafted glass inserts that have been specifically integrated into the gaps. This combination of solid wood and glass emphasizes the grain and structure of the wood and provides a clear design language that can be easily integrated into industrially influenced and modern interiors.

Sustainable craftsmanship with recycled solid wood

The used reclaimed wood (Teak wood) comes from old buildings and bridges that have been dismantled. Through recycling, durable solid wood furniture is created without consuming new resources. The natural aging of the wood ensures a long-lasting material structure that guarantees a long service life and has a distinctive aesthetic. We completely refrain from using protected wood species and exclusively use recycled woods and wood from fruit trees. Our handcrafted coffee tables and Dining tables are also prepared on-site using traditional craftsmanship before our in-house carpenters create tables of excellent quality and precision from this material.

Hundreds handmade coffee tables of solid wood pieces are on display in our 6,000 m² large furniture exhibition in Detern showroom. Alternatively, many coffee table models can be configured and ordered to your desired dimensions through our Online shop service.
