Interesting patterned coffee table made from a tree slice with a frame made of brushed stainless steel
With this Coffee table made from a tree slice we show you the beauty of solid wood in its original form. The tree slice comes from the lowest part of a tree trunk at the tree root and has a remarkable width of 140 cm. The resulting structure in the wood of the tree slice emphasizes the coffee table in its uniqueness. The surface of the coffee table has been finely sanded and coated with a high-quality furniture lacquer from the brand Clou lacquered. The table frame, consisting of three table runners, is made of brushed stainless steel. Each component of this coffee table made from a tree slice has been created by pure handwork,… an absolute one-of-a-kind piece.
You can find this and many other coffee tables made from tree slices in our online shop „Der Tischonkel“ in the category „Coffee tables made from tree slices“.

The wood used for this beautiful coffee table is a tree slice of the „Suar“, a type of wood that also appears under the trade names acacia, Asian oak, and Saman.

The scientifically named Samanea Saman Suar is a legume and falls under the genus of mimosa plants. Since the Suar is a very fast-growing and almost exclusively cultivated tree, it does not fall under protected tree species. We fundamentally refrain from using protected wood species for the production of our extraordinary coffee tables and limit ourselves to 100% % to the wood of fruit trees and recycled teak wood.
