The recycled old wood from which a large dining table is made by GERKEN Wohndesign is not new,… and that is exactly its sign of uniqueness. The wood comes from the deconstruction of old buildings on the islands Java and Bali and has been carefully processed. Each table can thus tell its own story. The grain is also unique, the stable tabletop appears massive and was hand-brushed for texture before being sealed with a neutral furniture lacquer. Those who look closely will notice small remnants of nails, cracks, or small inserts,… the very ordinary traces of a long life that we highlight.

This dining table is available in five sizes – depending on how many people should regularly be seated:

• 200 × 100 cm (space for 8 people)
• 220 × 100 cm (space for 8 to 10 people)
• 250 × 110 cm (space for 10 to 12 people)
• 300 × 110 cm (space for 12 to 14 people)
• 350 × 115 cm (space for 14 to 16 people)

A large dining table with a length of 350 cm is suitable for up to 14 to a maximum of 16 people. Even when fully occupied, there is enough freedom of movement for your guests, and no one has to bump elbows with their neighbor.

Large dining table with solid live edge and 8 cm doubled tabletop

The surface of the tabletop consists of 3 cm thick teak wood planks. A 5 cm thick wooden frame surrounds the table and provides an optical thickness of a total of 8 cm.
