Only recycled woods, leftover wood from old tree stumps, and wood from fruit trees are used in production. The use of fresh or protected wood species is consciously avoided, as there are sufficient alternative resources available for our productions. This distinctive raw material allows for the manufacture of high-quality and unique Coffee tables and other pieces of furniture that you can exclusively get only from us. What materials are the furniture in the online shop for coffee tables from Tischonkel made of?

We consciously rely on materials that have a unique character:

• Solid wood (leftover wood): Leftover wood refers to wood that is obtained from old tree trunks, tree stumps, and roots, which comes from reforestation areas. These trees were cut down decades ago to obtain raw material for garden furniture from Teak wood . After this irresponsible waste of natural resources, these trunks were simply left to themselves. The beauty of these woods is reflected in our coffee tables and dining tables. The material is durable, robust, with a unique grain, and offers us the opportunity special coffee tables to manufacture.
• Recycled wood: Old wood is also available in sufficient quantity as raw material for our furniture. The wood comes from old houses and bridges on the islands of Java and Bali, where traditional construction with teak wood was once common. Today, the old buildings are gradually being replaced by stone constructions. Recycled wood is thus sustainable and full of history.
• Root wood: The old tree roots, from which we offer interesting coffee tables in our Online shop , also come from reforestation areas. The roots are removed from the ground to make room for new trees to grow. Coffee tables made from tree roots have spectacular shapes that become a work of art in your living room.
• Glass & steel: Other important elements of our coffee tables are steel and glass. We create special tables from these three elements, wood, steel, and glass, that attract all eyes.

Round coffee table made of reclaimed wood CLASH

With the coffee table CLASH, we fulfill the frequent request of our customers for a Solid wood table for the more compact living room. The tabletop was handcrafted from solid reclaimed wood (teak). The use of recycled wood creates a very interestingly grained surface, which has been lightly brushed for texture and sealed with a neutral furniture wax. The wood is complemented by an inset glass element. The tabletop stands on three table legs, also handcrafted from raw steel in industrial design.

Special coffee tables made from a tree slice LAKESIDE

The coffee table LAKESIDE is already a small work of art at first glance. By using old tree slices, which naturally come in different shapes, each table gets its very specific own shape. This coffee table used a tree slice that had a natural growth. The gap created in the tree slice is of absolutely natural origin and has been elaborately decorated with a glass plate. The special thing about this coffee table is that you can discover new perspectives from every angle that tell the story of the tree slice's origin. The tree slices are old tree stumps from the 80s and 90s, which are now being removed from the ground to create a habitat for a new forest. The LAKESIDE stands on three V-shaped table legs that were handcrafted from raw steel.

Living room table made of tree root wood „Natural Landscape“

The NATURAL LANDSCAPE series is an interesting combination of solid tree slices from old tree stumps, in conjunction with modern elements of stainless steel and glass. The solid tabletop has a thickness of 6.5 cm and is made of solid teak wood from the root area of the tree. The surface of the tabletop has been designed to resemble a river flow, similar to a map, through the use of a glass inlay. This table is a highlight for any living room and definitely a conversation piece at gatherings with friends and family. Additionally, the teak wood fits perfectly with several furnishing styles.
