With the dining table „Sky Island“ there are several factors that make it a unique piece. The special characteristics of the wood, the oval table shape, the handcrafted glass inlays, and the elegant table frame play a significant role. The combination of these four elements creates a dream dining table.

Wood characteristics: Solid wood dining table

The wood is something very special, as the tables are made from recycled solid wood handcrafted. The Old wood was in its „previous life“ about a house or a bridge that was demolished after a certain time. This gives our products their own story and makes them sustainable. After careful quality inspection, they are Solid wood planks glued together to form a 9 to 10 cm thick tabletop. The traces of the previous use of the solid beams have been adorned with wooden dowels and wooden inlays with great care. To highlight the natural structure of the material, a final finishing takes place in our in-house workshop, so that you can enjoy the table for a long time.

Craftsmanship: Glass inlays and table frame

An optical Design highlight is the glass inlay, which offers a glimpse into the interior of the solid wood tabletop and thus enhances the special characteristics of the wood. The glass inlays we use are produced in what is called „freehand cutting.“ In this process, our partner craftsmen Indonesia manually fit the glass to each individual Dining room table individually.

For the model series „Sky Island“ made of solid wood, we use table frames in a semicircular shape. This table frame provides enormous stability and, with its elegant steel construction, is a perfect connection to the Tabletop. The table frame is available in both brushed Stainless steel and black drawn raw steel in a rustic industrial design.
