Yes, our lanterns protect the flame from wind and are ideal for terraces or entrance areas. Please note: Teak wood is weather-resistant but develops a silvery-grey patina outdoors. Untreated metal can develop surface rust – an effect often desired in vintage style.

For our large floor candle holders and lanterns, we recommend thick pillar candles with long burn times, as they look best visually. Alternatively, high-quality LED real wax candles provide safe ambiance without heat generation and soot.

In a candle holder or lantern, the flame is protected by glass (cylinders or panes). This ensures a steadier light without constant flickering and significantly increases safety, especially if children or pets are in the household.

The glass cylinders of our teak lanterns are usually removable. They can be easily cleaned with warm water, dish soap, or common glass cleaner. Soot marks at the upper edge can be well removed with a damp cloth.

Absolutely. We do not use thin plywood but solid teak wood, often rustic root wood or recycled old wood. This makes our lanterns heavy, stable (even in gusts of wind), and extremely durable.
