Solid Living Room Table from the "Lakeside" Series – Unique Piece Made from Two Old Tree Slices
This solid living room table from the "Lakeside" series is an authentic example of craftsmanship and sustainable use of natural materials. The tabletop was made from two glued tree slices of an old teak tree stump. The teak tree was felled about 30 to 50 years ago, and the remaining root area is now used to make room for new vegetation – a contribution to sustainable wood use.
With an impressive tabletop thickness of 7.5 cm, this coffee table is not laminated but fully solid. The length is 120 cm, the width varies between approx. 71 and 81 cm, corresponding to the natural shape of the wood. The total height is 47 cm – ideal as a living room table with character.
Special attention is given to the naturally formed knots and inclusions in the wood, shaped over decades by weather and growth. These were carefully worked out and refined with glass inlays – hand-fitted into organically shaped cutouts. The result is an impressive view into the original interior of the wood.
The living room table stands on three sturdy V-shaped legs made of brushed stainless steel, which contrast the rustic character of the wooden top with a modern, clear note.
