Root Sideboard from the "Roots" series – A piece of nature in your interior

The Root Sideboard from the "Roots" series impresses with its extraordinary origin and craftsmanship. Made from a particularly massive tree root, this sideboard measures 152 cm in width, has a depth of 45 cm, and a height of 80 cm. The strikingly massive structure and the natural shape of the tree root give this piece of furniture a distinctive character and make it a true one-of-a-kind.
The used tree root comes from a reforestation area in Java, Indonesia. Decades after the teak trees were felled there – often for the production of the famous teak folding chair – the old tree roots are now extracted from the ground. This process creates space for new fauna and at the same time offers the opportunity to use the remaining raw materials in a sustainable way.
Our philosophy is clear: We do not use fresh wood or protected trees for the production of our furniture. Instead, we rely on the use of these impressive raw materials, which convince with their extraordinary appearance and story.
The tree root was carefully processed to preserve its natural shape and to optimally highlight its structure. The top surface offers enough space for decorative objects, books, or other everyday items. This piece of furniture fits perfectly into living rooms, entrance areas, or open concepts and adds a touch of nature and exclusivity to any room.
