In artistic craftsmanship, the raw tree trunk was first carved into a rough shape and then carefully modeled until this impressive sculpture with an extraordinary 3D effect was created.
The wooden surface of the decorative figure was coated with a high-quality water-based lacquer in a silk-matte finish.

The decoration "Twins", carved from the wood of an old tree root, is already one of the rarer pieces we are allowed to find on our travels.
For this decoration, the artist took an old tree root of a teak tree. In elaborate handwork, he carved out the individual root arms, thus creating an unusually appearing 3D effect. With its unusual size, this decoration is predestined to serve as a room divider or as wall decoration.

We prefer to use recycled wood from old buildings or root stocks considered "waste" at plantations but containing the hardest and most beautiful wood. FAQ: Questions About Our Wood Decoration

Are cracks in the wood a defect?

No, quite the opposite. In our solid decorative objects made of teak or suar, cracks, knot holes, and a wild grain are intentional natural features. They result from the wood’s natural movement, emphasize the character, and make each piece an authentic unique item.

Which types of wood are used?

We primarily use recycled teak wood, teak root wood, suar (rain tree), and lychee wood. These tropical hardwoods are distinguished by their extreme hardness, durability, and particularly expressive structure.

How do I care for solid wood decoration?

Most of our wood objects are already waxed or oiled. You can simply dust them with a dry or slightly damp cloth (please no aggressive chemicals!). To refresh the shine and color, occasional use of high-quality furniture wax or care oil is recommended.

Is the wood decoration sustainable?

Yes, we place great value on resource conservation. Many of our sculptures and bowls are made from root wood or leftover wood from house construction or furniture production (recycled wood).

Can I choose my unique piece?

Since wood is a natural product, no piece looks like another. Feel free to visit our exhibition in Detern to select exactly the sculpture or bowl whose shape you like best.
