What is petrified wood?

Petrified wood is a fossil material. Millions of years ago, wood was permeated by mineral-rich water under airtight conditions and transformed molecule by molecule into stone (silicified). The original wood structure is often still visible, but the material is hard and heavy like marble – a true natural wonder.

Are these items unique pieces?

Yes, almost exclusively. Since we work with natural materials that are often found or shaped by chance (such as roots or boulders), no piece is like the other. You buy guaranteed individuality here and no industrial product.

Are these objects suitable as gifts?
