With this dining table made of old wood, the term "sustainability" takes on a whole new meaning. The massive tabletop consists of glued solid wood planks with an impressive thickness of 9 cm. The solid wood planks were painstakingly glued together and hand-brushed to highlight the beautiful wood grain. The processing marks from the previous use of the massive beams were carefully decorated with wooden dowels and wood inserts. An additional design element of the "Sky Island" series is the glass inlay, which allows a view into the interior of the tabletop.
Finally, the tabletop received a protective layer of high-quality furniture wax in our in-house workshop.
The table frame is made of raw steel in industrial design and was also handcrafted.

Note: The used old wood comes from demolished houses and bridges on the islands of Java and Bali. The tabletops are prefabricated on site by a small family business and reworked and sealed after arrival in our in-house workshop. Of course, attention is paid to the naturalness of the waxes used.
